Who We Are

Illarion is a research service provider specializing in the application of biophysical methods in early drug discovery. We focus on delivering screening assays and affinity determination methods that align with the throughput and timeline expectations of our customers.

Illarion was founded in 2026 by Reto Walser. Prior to that Reto worked as a biophysicist at AstraZeneca and Astex Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge (UK), two world renowned leaders in the application of biophysics to the drug discovery process.

Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare

Park Innovaare is located right next to the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), home to the Swiss Light Source (SLS) and the Swiss Free Electron Laser (SwissFEL) about half-way between the Swiss hubs of Basel and Zurich.
